淋巴管阻塞部位发生在主动脉前淋巴结或肠干淋巴管时 ，可出现乳糜尿。全身症状可有发热、寒战等。检查微丝蚴检查 ：在晚9时开始采血，凌晨2时前结束，自指尖或耳垂取血涂片检 查。乳糜尿或淋巴积液，离心后取沉渣涂片检查。如找到微丝蚴 ，即可确诊，但性不能排除诊断。免疫学方法检测丝虫特异性抗 体或抗原，特异性和敏感性较好。荧光试验、丝虫补体结合试验 等亦有助于诊断。诊断曾在流行区居住，有反复发作的淋巴结炎 、离心性淋巴管炎、象皮肿、乳糜尿、精索炎等表现者，结合实 验室检查，可诊断。含有成虫的皮下（或更深部位）结节（盘尾 丝虫瘤）可被看到或扪及，但其他方面无症状.结节由不同比例的 炎性细胞和纤维组织组成，老的结节可干酪化或钙化.河盲症河盲 症盘尾丝虫性皮炎由微丝蚴所致，皮肤奇痒可能是轻度感染者的 *症状.皮肤病变通常有难以归类的斑丘疹和继发性表皮脱落， 剥落性溃疡和苔藓化以及轻至中度的淋巴结肿大.皮肤过早的起皱 和萎缩，腹股沟或股部块状肿大结节，淋巴管阻塞，斑点状皮肤 退色，一过性局限性水肿及红斑也可发生.多数病人的盘尾丝虫性 皮炎是全身性的.
