如北太平洋西南部分与中国南海是台风生成和影响强烈的地区。热带风暴(包括台风)是一种十分重要的气象灾害。
6、多云雾天气，湿度大
多数临近海洋的大陆地区，都具有海洋性气候特征，西欧沿海地区是大陆上典型的海洋性气候区。位于南北纬40至60度的大陆西岸，除亚洲和南极洲没有外，其余各大洲都有，其中以欧洲大陆西部及不列颠群岛（欧洲大陆）zui为典型。温带海洋性气候往往仅分布在狭长地带或岛屿上。
温带海洋性气候在西欧zui为典型，分布面积zui大，在美洲大陆西岸相应的纬度地带以及大洋洲的塔斯马尼亚岛和新西兰等地也有分布。属于这一气候的有西北欧、加拿大太平洋沿岸、智利南部及澳大利亚的东南一小部分。
